`18.Dec.2007`	DiscreetFX bought rights of Aladdin 4D According to DiscreetFX in a press release the company bought the rights of the raytracing and animation software Aladdin 4D from Nova Design. DiscreetFX is going to offer the program as cheap alternative for raytracing beginners. AmigaOS 4, AROS, possibly MorphOS 2.0, Mac OS X as well as Linux will be supposed to be supported. There will be a free version for Windows as bonus, too. All those who have given money for the Open Aladdin campaign are to contact DiscreetFX to get back the money. YAD is still in beta status. It is not possible to display pictograms in the directory listers and toolbars. YAD is one file and does not replace system files.
