Amiga Inc.: "Amiga Inc. Washington still existing"
In the course of the judical arguement between Amiga Inc. and Hyperion it has been revealed that some trademarks have not been transferred officially to Amiga Inc. (Delaware, AID) yet (amiga-news.de reported). Also in this context activities by Amiga Inc. (Washington, AIW) were mentioned, even the company was closed on September the 30th, 2004.

Meanwhile AID has clarified (PDF, 69 KB) that according to US laws a company closed by authorirties keeps on existing for another five years to remove or fix the issues lead to closure and can be resurrected after fixation of theses issues. Alternatively that time may be used to maintain the liquidation of the company.

According the trademarks AID emphasizes (PDF 1, 651 KB; PDF 2, 443 KB), that their state is meanwhile set to "ready for release" and were now transferred to AID. [editors note: After ("Publication for Opposition") there is a 30 day time frame to appeal against the registration or to apply for a prolongation of the appealing time.]

The aforementioned information is available for everyone online via the Trademark Applications and Registrations Retrieval (TARR) of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, cmp. the Amiga entries 78940417, 78940426, 78940434, 78942544 and 78942551. The latest change was on July the 27th. (snx) (Translation: ub)

Amiga Future: new full versions online
Press release: Due to the fact that some issues of the Amiga Future have been sold out in the meantime we have put new full versions for free download on the Amiga Future homepage.

We're searching someone who wants to take care of the downloads section of the Amiga Future homepage: You would have to write down system requirements and small descriptions for each software package in both German and English language.

The issue 67 has been released recently and is available in our online shop. Right now we're working hard on issue 68. No. 67 is the first Amiga Future issue being published in both German and English. You can order the first English Issue of Amiga Future from our online shop.
