Universal USB disk controller for DIY soldering: FLUXTEEN
FLUXTEEN is designed to enable “flux-based copying of hard and soft sectored floppy disks via USB,” i.e., reading the magnetic layer of a floppy disk regardless of the format used. The controller is connected to a PC via USB, and programs such as FLUXCOPY or FLUXDUMP then enable the reading and writing of disk images. In contrast to solutions such as Greaseweazle or Kryoflux, however, FLUXTEEN currently only works with ADF images—i.e., unprotected disks—when it comes to Amiga disks.

A (German) description and download links for the associated software can be found on the website of the Association for the Preservation of Classic Computers, and a detailed discussion of the project and the circuit diagrams can be found in their forums. (cg)
