Tinker project: Internal power supply housing for keyboard Amigas With the aim of getting rid of the bulky external power supply and leaving only the power connection and a switch visible on the outside, 'Slince' has moved the power supply of his Amiga 1200 inside, under the ventilation slots (video). The design uses an isolated module to convert 230-volt AC to 12-volt DC with the voltages required by the Amiga (+5, +12, and -12 volts). After several tests, the hobbyist reports that there is no image interference whatsoever. His current implementation features a redesigned fuse holder, clean internal cable routing and an optional plastic protective cover, depending on the installed extensions. The system was tested during startup with a connected hard drive and DVD drive. (snx) [News message: 18. Jan. 2026, 06:46] [Comments: 0] [Send via e-mail] [Print version] [ASCII version] | ||
