AmiVision: Watching IPTV on 68k Amigas (update)
Based on the same basic concept as AmiStreamRaider (amiga-news.de reported), AmiVision allows you to watch IPTV streams on the Amiga. The software package consists of two central components: a server that runs as a Docker container on x64 or ARM64 systems, and a client for Amiga 68k that runs on AmigaOS.

AmiVision supports channel lists from eleven countries, a global channel search and the creation of a favourites list. Various transcoder profiles are available for playback, ranging from LowRes (180x100) to 720p.

The system requirements for the Amiga client are a 68040 processor and AGA chipset. However, a faster system is recommended, such as a 68060, Vampire or PiStorm, ideally in combination with a graphics card. On the software side, AmigaOS 3.2, MUI 3.8, RxMUI ARexx, a TCP/IP stack (e.g. Roadshow, Miami or Genesis), nettools (curl, nc), the mpega.library and the RiVA MPEG Video Player (included in the archive) are required. A 16- or 24-bit RTG Workbench screen is necessary for window rendering, as well as an active internet connection.

The server requires an x64 or arm64 CPU, at least 2 GB RAM, and Windows, Linux, or macOS with Docker Engine and Docker Compose installed.
AmiVision can be downloaded in exchange for a voluntary contribution.

Update: (22:00, 07.01.26, dr)

The update fixes several minor bugs that caused the server configuration to not function on ARM systems. (nba)
