Bei Scumm handelt sich um ein Programm, das die Datenfiles der alten LucasArts Classic-Adventures interpretiert und auf dem Amiga benutzbar macht. `24.Sep.2002` Chris Hodges (E-Mail)	USB-Treiber: Poseidon Update auf Version 1.3 Chris Hodges hat ein neues Update für das USB-Treiber-System Poseidon fertig gestellt, es steht nun in Version 1.3 zum Download bereit. Not everything I intended to do was completed for this version, but as I'm off for doing university stuff this week, I just thought I might release it anyway. Download the archive from the usual place at http://www.platon42.de/cgi-local/dynframe.pl?0000&poseidon.html Users, who registered Poseidon (this is mainly for Mediator/Spider users), will need this update due to a stupid mistake inside the licence code in V1.28, removing the keyfile from the configuration after pressing Online. But now the more important stuff: This version includes lots of bugfixes. Evil and minor ones. Overall, the system should get more stable. Trident has been updated. It now has some more niffy buttons, one of them allows to change global class settings (which currently only the bootkeyboard class supports). Even nicer is the support for binding configurations. That means that (if the class supports it), you can save settings for each device or even each interface. This is done with the new 'Settings' button, currently available for mass storage devices. So finally you can disable FAT automounting, change the name of the partition, set the buffers and much more. MorphOS binaries have been updated, too, and now the ELF version of the PenCamTool is included, which is mindboggingly fast. If you're missing some options, don't hesitate to ask. I'll be back in (hopefully) one week. Remember to send full PsdDevLister and PsdErrorLog when reporting bugs ;) Changelog: poseidon.library 1.30 psdFreeVec() was broken (freed 4 bytes less than allocated). I am really sorry about this. Internal variables/flags added for USB2.0 support (although, there is no working USB2.0 support right now). Added NAK timeout (5 secs) on EP0 while enumerating, as there seem to be badly broken devices out there, doing NAKs forever, blocking out the stack until the device is removed again. There were some global fields in the library data section which caused LoadModule by THOR to remove the resident tag because the checksum was wrong. Hopefully, this is now fixed. Licence check was broken. I forgot an if-clause, which caused the single user keyfile being killed after the verification (i.e. click on online/offline/online and you were back to demo version). Sorry to Mediator users. Trident 0.11 Added calls to open class config windows. Fixed some gadgets in device window not being ghosted. Added 'Settings' gadget in device window. Added speed output of USB 2.0 highspeed devices (no support in the stack, yet). Added calls to open binding config windows. Added some gadgets in device info window. Increased stack to 16KB as it was nearly running out of stack. all classes Lots of internal changes to be more extensible (via a DoMethod vector). Changed classes to use the new FindEndpoint and FindInterface support functions. Saves a few bytes, makes classes more robust. Bailing out code introduced with release V1.27 was broken and would always have crashed the machine on failing allocation. Fixed. massstorage.class Bugfix: With a device with multiple LUNs, Permit() was called more often than Forbid(). Could have caused all kinds of havoc. Fixed. Data overflow is now being ignored in the data phase. This fixes some broken devices. Added device config GUI. I hope you enjoy it. If there's something missing, please let me know. Remember that automounting of RDB partitions still doesn't work, even if there's a switch already. On response timeout errors and multiple LUNs, access to unit could be locked, hanging the other LUN tasks. Stupid bug, which is now fixed. CB/CBI recovery handling didn't work in some cases. Added CBI_RESET (maybe this helps?). bootkeyboard.class 1.9 Added class config GUI. The configuration settings include turning on/off of ResetHandlers, setting the time until the machine reboots (in case of resethandlers installed) and an alternate caps lock mode. Added ISA keymap option, aswell as an option to disable the extra key translation functions (like page up/down). Extra key translation did not send events for up-qualifiers, therefore shift (or amiga or control) were still pressed after using keys like page up/down. `24.Sep.2002` Carsten Siegner (ANF)	Gadtool-Version der Ogg-GUI Heute ist eine neue, funktionstüchtige Version der Ogg-GUI fertig gestellt worden. Diese nennt sich jetzt "Ogg-Engine" und ist eine Gadtool-Version. Dadurch ist sie jetzt viel intuitiver und arbeitet mit Multitasking. Das heißt, es können jetzt beliebig viele Player und Encoder bzw. Decoder-Tasks gleichzeitig laufen. Man kann deshalb gleichzeitig ein Ogg-File enkodieren, nachdem man vorher ein anderes File mit dem Player gestartet hat. Begrenzt wird das nur durch die Prozessorleistung. Unter Amithlon kann ich mehrere Player-Tasks ohne Probleme starten. Die "Ogg-Engine" kann man momentan aus meiner Hompage downloaden: ogg-Engine.lha Nach dem Entpacken ist die Ogg-Engine entgegen zum LiesMich-Text sofort startfähig. Es sind alle nötigen Dateien enthalten (ogg-Player, ogg-Encoder usw.), nur die ixemul.lybrary ist nicht vorhanden. Diese muss aus dem Aminet bezogen werden. (ps) [Meldung: 24. Bei Czech Amiga News ist zu lesen, dass DiscreetFX 'Wild Flyer' für den Amiga Video Toaster Flyer anbieten wird. Auf der Website von Jörg Strohmayer wurde Version 2.12 von PINT, dem Newsreader für UMS, veröffentlicht. Hinzugekommen ist eine Überarbeitung von MUI/NList V20. UMS ist ein System zum Lesen und Schreiben von E-Mails und Postings, das über Im- und Exporter verschiedene Netze wie Usenet, Z-Netz, Fido und Maus unterstützt. Bei OnyxSoft finden Sie Version 2.21 von 'TheMPegEncGUI' von Daniel Westerburg. Es handelt sich um eine grafische Benutzeroberfläche für MPEG-Audio-Encoder. Bei Colin Wenzel finden Sie ein kleines Tool namens Bytes in Version 3.61. Mit diesem kleinen Programm lässt sich anzeigen, wie viele Bytes auf einem Speicher-Medium (Festplatte, Diskette etc.) bereits belegt sind. Auf der Website von Pixel Art wurde Version 2.1 von Pixload veröffentlicht. Das Tool ermöglicht, ähnlich wie Amidock, den Start von Programmen und Skripten über ein Icon und benutzt hierzu MUI. `22.Sep.2002` Aminet	MP3: id3tag.library V5.6 David Mevius hat im Aminet die Version 5.6 der id3tag-Library zum Lesen und Schreiben der ID3-Tags (ID3V1, ID3V2) von MP3-Dateien veröffentlicht. Die ID3-Tags enthalten die Informationen zum jeweiligen Musikstück. Im Detail werden die ID3-Versionen 1.0, 1.1, 2.2, 2.3 und 2.4 unterstützt. Mit im Archiv enthalten sind die Entwicklerunterlagen für C. Die Library läuft ab AmigaOS 3.x und CPU 68020. Für die id3taglibPrefs wird Reaction oder ClassAct benötigt. `22.Sep.2002` Aminet	Datatype: akPNG V45.3 Andreas Kleinert hat im Aminet die Version 45.3 seines akPNG-Datatypes veröffentlicht. Diese Version läuft auf 68k-Amigas inklusive UAE und Amithlon. Der Datatype verwendet die aktuellen PNG-Quelltexte (zlib V1.1.4, libpng V1.2.4) und unterstützt damit PNG-Dateien mit bis zu 48 Bit an Farbinformationen. Diese 48 Bit werden auf 24 Bit reduziert. `22.Sep.2002` Aminet	Flash: Swfplayer V1.2b Alexandre Balaban hat im Aminet die Version 1.2b des eigenständig laufenden Shockwave-Players 'Swfplayer' veröffentlicht. Der Player basiert auf der libflash für Linux von Olivier Debon. Bei diesem Update handelt es sich um eine schnelle Neuerstellung von Paul Hill's Version des Players, um die neueste Version der libflash zu verwenden. Mit dieser Version sollte das Problem mit anderen CPUs als der 68040 und der Absturz beim Beenden des Players gelöst sein. Ansonsten handelt es sich bei dieser Version keineswegs um einen Bugfix, der Schwerpunkt liegt bei der Verwendung der neuesten libflash-Version. `22.Sep.2002` Peter's Amiga Homepage	Drucker: Epson V40 Update von Hutchison wird nicht erscheinen Das Update zum Epson V40-Druckertreiber von Peter John Hutchison wird nicht erscheinen. Grund hierfür ist, dass sein Epson-Drucker ausgefallen ist (die Farbe wird nicht mehr korrekt ausgegeben) und er wohl auf einen HP-Drucker wechseln wird. Wer dennoch an diesem Treiber, soweit er bisher getestet ist, Interesse hat, kann sich per E-Mail an Peter John Hutchison (PJHutch@blizzard.u-net.com) wenden. Zu AmigaOS 4 schreibt er, dass er sich nicht sicher ist, wie die AmigaOS 4 Druckerunterstützung aussehen wird und es ist unwahrscheinlich, dass er dafür Treiber entwickeln wird: "I am not sure what AOS 4.x Printer support will be like, and it will be unlikely that I will be developing for it either. `22.Sep.2002` Amiga Future	Video:Frogger V2.03 (Update) Bereits am 16. September 2002 wurde die Version 2.03 des Videoplayers 'Frogger' veröffentlicht. Diese Version enthält viele Bugfixes und neue Codecs (3ivx, indeo, mace, vorbis). Zusätzlich gibt es viele Optimierungen bei den Video- und Audio-Dekodern. Der Download für 68k- und PPC-Amiga-Systeme (WarpUP, PowerUp und MorphOS) ist über den Titellink und frogger.highantdev.de möglich. Nachtrag 22.09.2002: Zu beachten ist bei diesem Update, dass durch die PlugIn-API-Änderungen alle externen Codecs neu heruntergeladen und installiert werden müssen.
