`03.Jun.2003` Cloanto (ANF)	Malprogramm: Cloanto veröffentlicht Personal Paint 7.1c Fortschritte in der Emulations-Technologie ermöglichten es, die Amiga 68k CPU und den Blitter auf Geschwindigkeiten zu bringen, die vor ein paar Jahren noch als unmöglich galten. In diesem Zusammenhang ist nun ein kleiner Fehler in Personal Paint aufgetaucht, durch den Blitter- und CPU-Oprationen nicht immer korrekt synchronisiert sind, wodurch beispielsweise bei bestimmten Alpha-Channel Berechnungen grafischer "Müll" auf dem Bildschirm auftritt. Dieser Fehler wurde in Personal Paint 7.1c behoben. Diese Version ist ab heute als kostenloses Update für alle AmigaForever Anwender erhältlich, zugänglich über den [integrierten] Software Manager. `03.Jun.2003` ANN	PC/DOS-Emulator: DOSBox Version 0.58 für MorphOS Nogfx hat eine Portierung des PC/DOS-Emulators DOSBox für MorphOS in Version 0.58 veröffentlicht. "DOSBox is a DOS-emulator using SDL for easy portability to different platforms, DOSBox has already been ported to several different platforms, such as Windows, BeOS, Linux, Mac OS X... DOSBox emulates a 286/386 realmode CPU, Directory FileSystem/XMS/EMS, a SoundBlaster card for excellent sound compatibility with older games... You can "re-live" the good old days with the help of DOSBox, it can run plenty of the old classics that don't run on your new computer !" DOSBox is an emulator which is, unlike Bochs, aimed at games that's why it has good quality SoundBlaster emulation, joystick support,... and unlike Bochs, DOSBox does NOT require the DOS nor a BIOS to run. Please note that DOSBox still only emulate Real Mode: it basically means that you'll be able to run most games/programs released before 1993-1994 (this includes great RPGs and a lot of 256 colors adventure games which were never released on the Amiga). `02.Jun.2003` Michael Böhmer (ANF)	Auslieferung von ALGOR beginnt am Montag Die Auslieferung des neuen Zorro II USB-Kontrollers ALGOR von E3B an die Händler beginnt am heutigen Montag. Leider hat sich der Zeitplan des Herstellers E3B wegen kleinerer Probleme in der Fertigung (Maschinenschaden) um einige Tage verschoben - als kleinen Ausgleich hat sich E3B ein paar nette Extras einfallen lassen: So bietet die ALGOR eine komplett diskettenlose Installation - alles, was gebraucht wird, ist bereits in der Karte integriert. Dies ist nur eine der vielfältigen Anwendungen des integrierten FlashROMs. Für Bundle-Käufer von ALGOR und NORWAY (10MBit Netzwerkmodul) gibt es ohne Aufpreis ein speziell bearbeitetes Slot-Blech, das USB und Netzwerk integriert hat und somit ein wertvolles Slotblech speziell in Desktops einspart (nur bei ausgewählten Händlern verfügbar). Das letzte Goodie ist für Nutzer der ALGOR reserviert: E3B möchte sich an dieser Stelle für die Geduld aller Interessenten bedanken. Auch hat der Input der Community während der Entwicklungsphase viel geholfen - und ohne die gute Akzeptanz unserer ersten USB-Karten und die positiven Rückmeldungen vieler Leute wäre die Motivation auch schwergefallen. `02.Jun.2003` Carsten Siegner (ANF)	Update zu DiaCD (Diashow auf VideoCD) Carsten Siegner hat ein Update von DiaCD fertig gestellt. Nun ist DiaCD in der Lage, auch übergroße Bilder (z. B. 1700x1400 o. ä.) in eine Diashow zu verwandeln. Dabei spielt ein eventuell vorhandener Größenunterschied keine Rolle, da sie alle zur gleichen Größe herunterskaliert werden. Gleichzeitig hat sich dadurch die Arbeitsgeschwindigkeit fast verdoppelt. Um das Update zu benutzen, muss man nun das Programm "mogrify" in das C:-Verzeichnis packen. Weiterhin neu ist das automaische Freigeben von Speicher, der von "dttoppm" fälschlicherweise nicht richtig freigegeben wird. (nba) [Meldung: 02. `02.Jun.2003` Hakan Parting (E-Mail)	AmiComSys 2.4 und HL-Plugin 1.2 erschienen Hakan Parting hat am 1. Juni 2003 Updates seiner Programme AmiComSys (Version 2.4) und HL-Plugin (Version 1.2) veröffentlicht. Lesen Sie im Folgenden die Änderungen an den neuen Versionen: AmiComSys 2.4 BUGFIX: The "Kill gui" menu item had an empty key combination. BUGFIX: When a modal message requester was opened only the main window was put to sleep. The entire application must be put to sleep so the user cannot do anything else in the program. In certain occasions this error would lead to a crash or an Enforcer hit. NEW: Added requeststring function to the messagerequester class for use by plugins. NEW: The reply text field and replybutton are no longer shown in reponse of a version and system info request. BUGFIX: If you opened the Client Info window and then iconified the application and later deiconified it the main window and the client window had the same dimensions and position. NEW: Changed the layout of the message requesters. It should now get a better dimension so you don't need to scroll. The sizegadget was also removed. If your requesters are snapshotable it is still there. NEW: AmiComSys now asks if you want to display the file you just received. NEW: If a plugin is inside the ACS main window it's menu is added the first time the plugin is active. BUGFIX: Enforcer hit when you opened the Client Info of user without any comment and also when such a user connected. BUGFIX: It will now not go online when you uniconify after you have killed the gui while your your status was set to offline. BUGFIX If the comment, homepage and some other items on the personal info were set to an empty string they were not updated in the contact list until you reconnected. HL-Plugin NEW: Enhanced the error handling for the file transfer. BUGFIX: Fixed a race condition with the file transfer queue. BUGFIX: File resume implemented (working with hxd, not HL Server). NEW: Added "Kick selected user" and "bann selected user" to the Action menu. NEW: Added "Delete"(file) and "MakeDir" to the Files window. BUGFIX: Upload didn't work with all servers and files. BUGFIX: The close button of a transfer window did't work. It just closed the user list connection. BUGFIX: Forgot to close the transfer window when you got a "file already exists" error. BUGFIX: Transfers the info written in the Bookmarks section in the "HL Plugin Servers" window when the connect button is pressed or when the window is closed. Before the old info was sent to the server when you had forgotten to press return in the text boxes you had modified. BUGFIX: There was an error with the bookmark save routine (possible enforcer hit). NEW: A connection to a server, tracker or file server will now not block HL Plugin while it is connecting. August 2003 in Kazan, Russland, stattfinden. CAFe'2003 ist eine Veranstaltung für Programmierer, Musiker, Grafiker, Webdesigner und andere Kreative. Die Demoparty wird als Festival konzipiert, die in Kooperation mit dem Ministerium für Jugend organisiert wird. Das Festival wird offiziell als "Computers gegen Drogen"-Veranstaltung angekündigt.
