Veranstaltung: UGN webcast from AmiWest 2001
The UGN invites you to join us at the AmiWest 2001 show. This year we will start on Friday 27th at 7:00 PM PST (GMT -7) at 8:00 PM PST we will webcast a keynote speech by Bill McEwen. On the 28th and 29th we will have live coverage from the show floor, visit the UGN website for information on who will be available to chat with.

Like shows in the past the UGN will be using Shoutcast technology to deliver live audio to Amiga users round the world. To listen to the audio visit the AmiNet and grab a shoutcast compatible program. The UGN recommends the "StreAmi" program, for more information visit ugn.amiga.org. For the webcam images the UGN uses ImageFX from Novadesign, AmFTP from Vapor, and Miami from Nordic Global Inc.. To view the webcam you can use a browser or a webcam viewer from the AmiNet, see ugn.amiga.org for more details.

Participating at AmiWest 2001 will be done the same way as Amiga St Louis 2001. During the broadcast we will have ICQ available, if you can a question simply send us a message. We ask that you send us your real name and location so that we can give you credit for the question. For the Amiga the UGN recommends "STRICQ," it can be found the AmiNet or from ugn.amiga.org. To add the UGN to your ICQ friends list use the ICQ# 112800234, ICQ nick "UGN".

Veranstaltung: Heute IMAGE Hardwaretreffen, Nürnberg
Die AMIGA-User-Group IMAGE lädt am Sonntag, den 22. Juli 2001 alle aktiven User des alternativen Computersystems AMIGA oder auch Interessierte zu unserem Hardwaretreffen ein.

Treffpunkt: Mannertstraße 10 - Nebeneingang, 90429 Nürnberg
Zeit: 9.00 bis ca. 22.00 Uhr

Was wird geboten: Ziel des Treffens ist es, Probleme direkt vor Ort anhand mitgebrachter Hard- und Software zu lösen und über die neuesten (oder auch älteren) Erkenntnisse der AMIGA-Technologie zu diskutieren. (ps)

Veranstaltung: Amiga Netzwerktreffen
Am 4. und 5. August findet in Göttingen ein gemeinsames Netzwerktreffen des APC&TCP und der Göttinger Amiga User Group statt. Alle anderen Amiga User sind natürlich auch eingeladen. Weitere Informationen und Anfahrtsweg zur Uni unter dem Titellink. (ps)

Messe: Saku 2001 - Website ist online
Die 'Finnish Amiga Users Group' hat die Website zur eigenen Veranstaltung 'Saku 2001' online gestellt.

Die 'Saku 2001' findet am Samstag, den 1. September 2001 in Vantaa bei Helsinki statt. Anwesend sein werden Fleecy Moss, Vizepräsident von Amiga Inc. und ein Vertreter von Matay.

Moss wird die neuesten Amiga-Produkte wie AmigaDE präsentieren.

Matay wird das eigene PCI-Board 'Prometheus' präsentieren und das Mediator-PCI-Board mit einer Voodoo3 demonstrieren.

Finnish Amiga Users Group Announces Saku 2001 Web Site

VANTAA, FINLAND - July 15, 2001 - Finnish Amiga Users Group is pleased to announce that the Web site for its fourth Amiga event, Saku 2001, is now open. The Web site features highlights, directions and other vital information for interested visitors and exhibitors from Finland and abroad. Two webcams will be available from the venue. We are also planning an IRC channel.

Fleecy Moss, Vice President of Amiga Inc., will attend the show and demonstrate the latest Amiga products such as the AmigaDE. A representative of Matay company will present their new PCI bridge, the Prometheus. The Mediator PCI bridge will also be demonstrated with a Voodoo3 graphics card. Latest versions of Nova Design's ImageFX and Aladdin4D are available for testing. Finnish Amiga retailer Gentle Eye Ky offers a variety of Amiga products to buy at the venue. Other highlights and competitions are planned.

Saku 2001 will be held on Saturday September 1st 2001 at the Science Centre Heureka in Vantaa, near Helsinki. The event will open at 12:00 and end at 18:00. Admission will be free of charge.
